Have you heard of the foods? Maybe you have even tried eating some of them!
Sushi- sticky vinegared rice, topped with fish, meat or vegetables. It can also be wrapped in seaweed or stuffed into a pocket of fried tofu. Sashimi- sliced raw fish. Tempura- seafood and vegetables deep fried in a very light batter. Yakitori- grilled chicken skewers. Takoyaki- fried octopus dumplings. Okonomiyaki- japanese style pancake/pizza Ramen- thin, yellow noodles, usually served in a meat based broth. Udon- thick, white noodles. Soba- thin, brown noodles. Yakiniku- japanese style barbeque. Kara'age- fried chicken. Butaniku- pork. Toriniku- chicken. Gyuudon- cooked beef on rice. Gyuuniku- beef. Furai- deep fried food. Sukiyaki- beef and vegetable cooked in an iron pot. Wagashi- japanese sweets, usually made from rice paste, been paste and fruit. |
